How did it all start?
When I left school I was lucky enough to have my friend’s dad offer my a job in his electrician business. As fate would have it. I absolutely loved it and have never looked back. That was over 25 years ago.
I made the move from the UK to Sydney and started my own business here in 2009.
Your key values when servicing clients?
I pride myself on excellent communication and honesty as I want my clients to know what I am doing and why. Also, as an electrician in business, I never view it as just “one job with someone I’ll never see again”, which sadly many do. I go in with a long-term view that if they are happy with my work they will call me again 2 or 5 years later.
So I’m proud to say my longest client has been with me since 2007 and I have many loyal long-term clients that have turned into wonderful friends.
Your Top 3 difference?
I will always keep you updated and if I’m running late, I will let you know.
I have specialty experience with older homes or heritage semi’s, that generally have tricky wiring issues

I will always give honest advice including offering solutions on ways to do things better or save money.

Your tips for homeowners looking for an electrician?
Ask about their work experience. You don’t want to be paying unnecessarily for someone who won’t get the job right, the first time around.
Be sure to hire someone with a good track record and don’t be shy to ask for references.
Find out who exactly will be performing the electrical work. You don’t want to call a larger electrical company just to find out they will be sending you an inexperienced junior.
What’s the best thing about living and working in Sydney?
Sun and beaches, which is why most of us move from the UK to Sydney, It’s also a great place to raise kids.
Your passions outside the business?
I enjoy being active and love my sports from playing football, golf or going to the gym.
